Michael Medcalf trained at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre.  He has danced professionally with Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Company, Ballethnic Dance Company, Kim Robards Dance Company, Cleveland Dancing Wheels, and was the founding artistic director of Cleveland Contemporary Dance Theatre.  Michael brings an energy of warmth, encouragement, and humor to his teaching while providing a class based on the Horton and Graham techniques which challenges the student both technically and artistically.

Madelon Curtis is a SAG/AFTRA/AEA professional dancer, actress, choreographer and teacher with 30 years experience.  Her ballet training is Balanchine-based with New York City Ballet members, and extensive training at the Joffrey Ballet School, ABT School and with Rosella Hightower in Cannes, France.  Madelon has performed with numerous regional ballet companies.  A former New England Patriots cheerleader, Madelon was responsible for developing and operating numerous dance programs in the Northeast.  The Madelon Curtis Dancers, featured in both concert and commercial work, are renowned for versatility which spans classical ballet to cutting-edge jazz and hip-hop.  Madelon’s jazz is upbeat, exciting, and incorporates various styles---from classic, L.A., NYC, and theatre dance. 
Ineke Rush received her training at the school of the Dance Theatre of Harlem (DTH) in New York City.  She became professional at the age of 15, dancing first with the DTH School Ensemble and then with the parent company.  She continued her career as a dancer with Cleveland San Jose Ballet under the direction of Dennis Nahat, Ballethnic Dance Company under the direction of Nena and Waverly Lucas, and Cleveland Contemporary Dance Theatre (CCDT) under the direction of Michael Medcalf.  She also served as ballet mistress and rehearsal director for CCDT.

Ineke has been on the faculty of the School of Cleveland San Jose Ballet in Cleveland, OH, Ballethnic Academy of Dance in Atlanta, GA, and the School of Ballet San Jose in San Jose, CA.  She has taught at various Bay Area dance studios and is currently on the faculty at Ohlone College in Fremont, CA.
John Moody began his career at the age of 17 with the International Dancing Academy in Norwich, Connecticut having been inspired by Mikhail Baryshnikov in the movie “The Turning Point”.  Two years of intensive study at the School of the Hartford Ballet culminated in graduation with a teaching certificate in 1980 and a position as an apprentice with the Hartford Ballet that same year.  Soon becoming a principal dancer with the company, he is renown for his performances in Nutcraker, Romeo and Juliet, Carmina Burana, Hansel and Gretel, Coppelia, Allegro Brilliant and over 30 other ballets.  Throughout his career he has worked with several       choreographers including Pilobolus, Mathew Nash, and Peter Martins. He danced with the Connecticut Opera as well as the San Diego Opera.  John graduated from the Hartford Ballet School’s teacher training program in 1980 and was a principal dancer with Hartford Ballet.  His teaching style is generous and careful with a clean eye for technique and artistry.
